Wear this..

..ring as a sign of my undying love and commitment..

I and fiance booked our wedding band supplier last February.
We are actually looking for a pair of ring that fits our set budget.
We tried different pairs but I was looking for the one that will make me say "this is it!."
I was about to give up when I saw one pair in the next glass cabinet where I and fiance were standing.  It was a pair of simple white gold ring, which middle part is matted and the sides were yellow gold.  I asked fiance to try it and when he did, it looked so good on his hand! It was a more masculine ring, I thought. I tried it on my right ring finger and it complemented my engagement ring. I was surprised! I looked at it more closely and I said to my fiance that it was the one I was looking for. My fiance liked it too! And although it excessed our set budget by around 5k, we still booked it.. simply because we both loved it.

We just asked the attendant to customize it. We always wanted to have a simple and white gold bands, so we asked if the yellow gold sides be converted to white gold. She agreed and we were happy!

Here's a picture of a pair of wedding band that looks similar to ours - less the diamond and the names, of course.

Lifetime warranty.
Thank you Goldenhills! :)

1.2.3..Look at the camera..project!

In months time, fiance and I will be doing our pre-nuptial pictorial.
I wanted it to be done in a "forest-like" place.  I wanted to make use of the grass, of the soil, the trees and its branches.
I also wanted a scene in a rice field or in a place where the sun will be almost setting down beautifully (i know, somewhere in the west =D).

I wanted to make use of mother earth. :)

I wanted a playful and childish mood, but will project love and romance in every shot.
Let's see how it will go.

PS: We will surely have something like this shot of Kristen and Rob:

How I love them both!!!! :)
Oh, I need to find a short black ruffled dress just like Kristen's too! :D

Tropical Blooms and Printed Matter

Sounds familiar? LOL. You are right. They are our latest suppliers for our big day.

Tropical blooms will create my bouquet, our moms' small bouquets, primary sponsors' bouquets and secondary sponsors' wrist corsages.

They will also do our venue's drapings and stylings.
I would like to see white drapings, turquoise lanterns and crystals on our venue's ceiling. I hope Tropical Blooms will deliver us the style that we visioned our venue to have.

We booked Printed Matter for our invitations.

Among the invitation suppliers we saw, they are the one who have the most affordable price. But of course, we don't want to sacrifice the quality of the invitation papers. So I and fiance evaluated the papers first. When we were both satisfied on the design and texture, we booked them right away.

Next supplier hunt: Live band, OTD coordinator and hotel for preparation. :)

My goal: 90lbs.

More veggies, veggies..veggies.
More fruits. More water.

Come on fats, i don't need you. Leave my body now, please?!!!

Taho for you

Okay. I promise to make a delicious taho for you!
So.. the hunt for the best soybeans in town starts now! Where can I find those in Cavite's wet markets, anyone?

You better wait for your taho-ala-hun! =)

Yes.Yes.Yes.

I am thinking about you at this very moment.
Your face, your smile, your eyes.. they never fail to melt my heart.
And by just hearing your name can already put a smile on my face.

I always wanted to be at your side.
That's why I can't wait for that DAY to come.
The day that i'll submit myself to you.
And the day that shall mark our journey to forever.

Yes I will marry you, man of my dreams.
I will marry you today and everyday.
I will always say yes to you~
Yes to your love.. yes to our life.
Yes to forever.. to forever with you.

...i love you...

everybody's getting married!

i'm a bit surprised today when i opened my facebook acount.
whoah! almost everybody's getting engaged!
some of my friends received sweet and grand proposals, others answered 'yes' to a simple yet life-changing question.

it's nice to think that we are not getting any younger. that we are getting more serious in our lives to think about marriage and raising our own families. the thoughts of cooking meals for my husband and kids, taking care of them, hearing Mass and going out together on Sundays - really gets me excited. :)

Hi Mr. Time, can you move faster please?! :)

What's in your bouquet?

I've never given much thought on how my bouquet would look like. But I swore to myself not to have a rose bouquet. I'm not against roses, in fact i love each one of them, but I cannot see myself having them as my bouquet.

My first choice actually was a sunflower bouquet. But fiance didn't like it. He said sunflowers here in the Philippines were not as good as the ones in abroad. He thought they were too big for me (huh?).

Anyway, I surrendered my sunflower bouquet and opt to search for new ones.  Gerbera daisies - my friend thought would be lovely for brides. I looked at the pictures and she was right. Those flowers are lovely! ...But looking on the bouquet of gerbera flowers didn't make my heart say "This is it!"

The search for my flowers continued until I thought of Lilies.  White lilies will be my Church flowers as our Church already has their own florist.  Since I wanted to have yellow flowers as my bouquet, i asked myself why not go for Yellow Lilies? They can be found in the Philippines, thus, it is more affordable than other flowers to be bought from abroad.  I searched the web about yellow lily bouquets and they really wowed me.

 Now, aren't they lovely? =)

Themes and Motiffs

Is it really necessary to have wedding themes? It depends on the couple but not for me. I think just having a wedding motiff is enough to liven up your big day. The couple just have to think of unique gimmicks on how to mix up their wedding colors to avoid the monotony.

There are three color combinations that I an fiance thought about for our motiff.

1. Turquoise Blue and Apple Green
2. Maroon and Champagne
3. Brown, Red and Orange

Fiance wanted to have a fresh and cool atmosphere during the reception. He thought of Maroon-Champagne to be very formal so we excluded it from the list. Then he thought of Brown, Red and Orange to be very hot from the sight so we also removed it. We were down with the choice of Turquoise Blue and Apple Green combination.  I googled some pictures trying to see how it looks like when the two color jives and I found this:

Looks cool, right?

Then I found another color combination. Navy blue and apple green:

Fiance liked it but I am quite hesitant as I felt that it's also "formal" to combine navy blue with apple green, though it looks good too.

After much thought, fiance and I chose Turquoise Blue and Apple Green as our wedding motiff.

More suppliers booked!

Thank God! more suppliers booked from the last Bridal Fair. I hope that I and fiance will not regret getting them. But i'm pretty confident we will not, as I prayed to God before heading to the fair that He may give us the suppliers He want us for our big day.

We roam around the megatrade hall until we stopped at the last Photo/Video supplier located at the last row - almost at the corner of the hall. We were strucked how articulate the person in the booth and his wit got I and fiance's attention. In less than 30 minutes, I and fiance found ourselves signing the contract with them. LOL! I hope EROS PORTRAITS will not let us down. :)

After booking our Photo/Video, I and fiance looked for our wedding car. We went to Don Robert's booth and got a discount. Fiance opted for a Benz and asked me what i liked. i chose to have Mercedes Benz 260E AMG:

Next supplier that was booked was GoldenHills Jewelry.  We opted for a simpler design, since I and fiance don't want to have "rocks" on our bands. I fell inlove on their white gold plain band.  The sides are yellow gold but we asked the saleslady if we can have it changed to white gold instead.  I and fiance love it - simple yet elegant.

And our latest booked supplier was the creator of my wedding gown and the entourage's - Dore Bridal Couture.
Mine will be an ivory-off the shoulder-almost mermaid cut gown with no beadings (since I don't like it), only plits on the front and ruffles on the skirt. I'll still think if I'll agree to have it adorned with Swarovski crystals. Let's see.

The inspiration gown of my MoH will be this:

My secondary sponsors' gown inspiration is the blue-gray dress below:

My bridesmaids' gowns were copied from a bridal mag.  It's a simple sleeveless dress - falling just above the knee - with a coin hole in the middle of the neckline.

My mom and mom-in-law's gown designs are to follow. They are still thinking of designs which they will be comfortable, yet, will look good on them (and flaunt their assets :D).

My charming flower girls who will fly from LA will be wearing gowns inspired by this:

Next suppliers to look for: Florist/Event Stylist, Invitations and Giveaways for our Primary Sponsors.

AD MAJOREM DEI GLORIAM!
